Vynil stores in Belgrade
03 February 2014, 14:11
Couple of days ago I had met a guy from Austria
who was wandering where can he find vinyl (i.e. records) in Belgrade,
this topic should help anybody with the similar questions, if I have
missed any stores please do contribute.
Shops can be divided in to those which are selling new and 2nd hand records:
1. New records can be found at the following stores
a. http://www.pinballwizardrecords.com/ (located in down town small shopping mall called Eurocentar, and in my opinion largest selection of new records)
b. store.one-hifi.com/newcdshop/cd-lp-dvd… (two stores one in Novi Beograd and the other one in down town Belgrade)
c. www.dallas.rs/index.php/407-dallas-music-shop (vulkan mamut book store close to knez mihajlova, not a great selection)
d. triumviratemusic.com/gramofonske-plo%C4%8De
2. Used records can be found at
a. http://yugovinyl.blogspot.com/ (by far the largest selection of 2nd hand records)
b. http://www.leila.rs/ (bar and shop located in the vicinity of Knez Mihajlova)
c. http://bgaudiomania.blogspot.com/ (same owner as yugovinyl, located close to Skadarlija)
Out of named shops I did not have a chance to visit 1/d and 1/b so far so I can not testify to their quality.
Also please bear in mind that locally produced (i.e licensed records) vynil will be the cheapest options, however quality of the recording or the packaging might be different to UK or USA edition. On top of this and to the best of my knowledge licensed vyniles recorded in Yugoslavia/Serbia during the late 80’s and early 90’s should be avoided.
